I have been injured in one of the stupidest ways possible. Last night we went over to Paul and Angela's house and they had rented a giant blow up slide for a family reunion. Sage was dying to try it out and so I decided to go down with her on my lap. Everyone told me to keep my feet up as I went down. I did my best but near the heel of my foot touched down and Sage and I went flying. Luckily Sage was not injured, but my leg was hurting more than just a little bit. I managed to climb off the slide and collapse onto the soaking wet grass. My big toe on my right foot showed distress right away and started to turn pink and purple. I also did something to my knee ( we are not quite sure of the damage yet, hopefully it is nothing bad). I kept a brave face in front of all of the Ritchie family, I think I was still in some kind of shock, but when I got to our car then the tears started coming. Today my knee is all swollen and I can't bend my toe. I have been laying on the couch most of the day with my leg up and ice on it. It is possibly one of the dumbest ways to get injured ever! I need to come up with a good story to tell people when they ask me how I hurt my leg. Giant slide injury just does not sound that cool.

Welcome to Our Blog

Friends and Family,

We've had a lot of folks ask us for our blog address lately, I guess we are low tech, but it has taken us awhile to finally get one set up. Here it is.

In this first blog, we just wanted to post some recent pictures of our family and give a brief update for all those who don't see us too often.

We have been living in Heber, Utah for about 6 years. We have two great daughters, Sage (3) and Hallie (1). You can see from the pictures that they are full of energy and really a joy for our family. They keep us busy and we are already experiencing dance and swimming lessons - both of them have really outgoing personalities and love people, especially their grandparents.

Lindsey has been the enrichment leader in our ward for the last few years, she has really loved it, but was recently released. I have been serving as Scoutmaster for more years than I care to think about, actually, I really love it and can't think of a better calling.

Lindsey is basically a stay-at-home mom, but does help with a local scrapbooking store and coordinates four retreat events for them a year. I work in marketing and business development and have worked for the same company in Midway, Utah for about 7 years. We are very happy in Heber.
