More Cute Kids

Once again Hallie went straight for the snow as soon as she stepped outside. That kid would eat only snow if we let her.

Sage wants me to take pictures of her everyday. I don't mind because I have lots of cute pictures of my kids. Anyway, these are some of our daily photos.

I had to get a picture of Hallie in her winter coat. I love this coat so much. It is huge on her but it is so cozy and warm. LOVE IT!

Footings

We are keeping everyone updated on the process of our house. Yesterday they poured the footings. It was a major construction zone up at our lot. Tons of cement trucks and people working down in our ditch. It is fun to see some progress.

Play Date

We had a play date with McKay today. It was so nice and sunny outside that the kids went outside and played, ridding bikes and climbing our snow mountains. Sage always says that someday McKay will be her husband. If that ever did happen it would sure be fun to have some pictures of them as kids running around together. Now we do.
Hallie had a great time out in the sunshine today. She just stood by a snow bank stuffing giant handfuls of snow into her mouth. At least it was so warm outside her little fingers didn't get cold.

We have a hole!

After over a year of planning and getting ready, we finally have a hole in the ground. YEA! It is pretty exciting to finally be getting started on our new house. It will probably be the end of the summer before we are in the house and there will be a lot of work to get to that point.

St. George

Hallie playing in sand

We came down to St. George for the long weekend. It is so nice to get out of the snow and into the warm (55 degree) weather. We have had fun just being outside and going to the park and hiking. We went on a short hike and whenever we would stop Hallie would get down and dump sand over the top of her head.

Happy Valentine's Day

We celebrated Valentine's Day a day early this year because we are going to St. George on Valentine's Day. We did all the traditional stuff; "Foods you love to eat" dinner, and scavenger hunt for the kids. On Valentine's morning I made pink heart pancakes for the kids.

Soldier Hollow Tubing

Kim was nice enough to get us tickets to go tubing at soldier hollow on Monday. It was such a great day for it, about 40 degrees out and beautifully sunny. We went at 4:00 and Jason met us there. Kim and I took turns waiting with Hallie and Ian down at the bottom while the other one took Sage and Gavin up to the top of the hill. The hill was really fast but the kids weren't scared at all. I was a little nervous going down the first time, I am always in fear of dislocating my knee again. The kids had a great time. We pulled Hallie and Ian around in this little sled that Kim had brought and I took Hallie down a small little hill in a tube a few times. A great time was had by all.

Sage and McKay in the Snow

Sage's little friend McKay (her Husband as she calls him)went out and played in the snow in our backyard. It was so deep that I had to go out and stomp down a path for them to walk in. They mostly just sat on the side of the path and ate snow. Hallie ventured out as well. She refuses to wear mittens and then cries because her hands are cold. All this snow is crazy! Our mound of snow on the side of our driveway is taller than I am.

Sage at Ballet

Sage has started using the barre at ballet class. She comes home every week and shows me all the ballet positions that she has learned. She is usually making some silly face while she is at the barre while the rest of the class quietly and perfectly follows their teacher. She always adds a little humor and comic relief to ballet class.
