This year is the first year that I have done our traditional sugar eggs with my girls. Luckily my Mom was here this past week so she was able to show me what to do and how to get everything ready. You have to make the flowers and eggs in advance, so I was glad to have her help since it was my first time. The kids were excited about each step of the process. They helped us pipe the frosting flowers and they played in the colored sugar when we formed the eggs. Their favorite part though was decorating the eggs. Sage went for a big impact and used every single rose on her egg. Each time she would put a flower on her egg she would say "Wow!" as if it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. Hallie needed a little help getting the flowers on her egg. Most of her flowers ended up in her mouth. She had just woken up from a nap (notice the great nap hair) so she wasn't so interested in the egg decorating. But she sure did like the flower eating.

These are gorgeous!!! I wish the girls were closer so they could make some for Aunt Non! It looks like they are following in their Mom's footsteps with artistic talent!
